Pærɪˈdoʊliə: The tendency to make meaningful interpretations of (nebulous) images like seeing an object, or patterns - where there may be none.
Examples include seeing faces, or objects in clouds or ‘lunar pareidolia’ like seeing a rabbit on the moon.
Pareidolia can extend to hearing voices (mainly indistinct) in recorded music when played in reverse or at higher - or lower-than-normal speeds and hearing musical tunes in random noises produced by air conditioners or other appliances like fans.

On the concept of beauty, what makes a woman Beautiful?
Inspired by Njabulo Ndebele’s “Rediscovery of the Ordinary” 1991, the “Feminine Body” sculpture transforms the everyday object, the eyelash curler, into a visual statement of beauty. How ones culture & beliefs can bend and twist perceptions of and feelings for the body as beautiful. I remember believing that “beauty is pain” & how it costs to be beautiful. I sacrificed for my art because I thought if I created beauty around me, I would believe I was eventually too; But beauty is not skin deep and an apple does not taste itself.
Art truly heals something deep within me, learning to accept and truly see the magic that I am made of and the sparkle I am here to offer this world. I am honoured to give art, may it be seen or hidden under the matrix blanket of internet algorithms & I’m glad it has reached you. “Aurora Tckhne” is a guardian to the women who had no choice; she is there for those who suffered at the shadow side of their surgeons hands. May she heal the incisions that extended the fields of self love and acceptance with scars & taboo talk “on beauty”. She protects and illuminates the Truth of “womanly” & of Beauty. She is a devotion to the women who left the ward feeling like their femininity was compromised; either for less or more, She reminds us that there is Life and that this is everything money cannot buy.
To all woman learning self love and acceptance, her symbolism is a prayer to rediscover our deep beauty, hidden like a jewel that is Our Heart which is perfect in our imperfection.
